History and Purpose
The purpose of the 12th Annual Colloquium on International Engineering Education is to provide engineering and language educators, international program administrators, deans, provosts, presidents, corporate leaders, and public sector representatives an interdisciplinary forum for discussing and sharing ideas and practices pertaining to the education of American engineers for today's global workplace.
This distinctive and unique annual colloquium, which began meeting in 1998, has since 2005 met every other year in Rhode Island, alternating with partner schools across the country. The 2005 meeting was held at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and the 2007 colloquium at Purdue University. The 2009 colloquium will be held at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, on Oct. 22—25, 2009.
More information on past colloquia is available at the University of Rhode Island International Engineering Program.
