Undergraduate and Graduate Student Support

CAP partners can be involved through providing corporate-sponsored

  • Scholarships
Each year the College of Engineering awards about $1,400,000 in scholarships to engineering students. The generous support of hundreds of individuals and corporations allows the College to recognize the academic accomplishments of outstanding, hard-working students.
  • Assistantships
Iowa State researchers are at the cutting edge in research areas that are discipline-specific, as well as areas that cross disciplinary boundaries. Assistantships provide the financial support that graduate students need to focus on their studies rather than their finances.
  • Fellowships
In order to attract the brightest students to Iowa State Engineering, the College offers fellowship funds to outstanding graduate students. Fellowships will allow your corporation to develop relationships with graduate students through frequent interactions, internships, research collaborations and other opportunities.
  • Co-ops/internships
Internships and co-op experiences combine classroom studies with supervised work experiences [experiential education].  Students are employed by industry, business and government organizations in positions related to their major field of study.  Students are employed and compensated by the company for which they will work. They complete the same requirements for the bachelor's degree while acquiring valuable practical work experience and demonstrated workplace skills.
