Play with pezdemo, a matlab program, try the following activities: (use pp, zz and add with conjugate options). Sketch the pole-zero plots and the spectrum. Your solution should include a cogent discussion of how pole/zero location affects the frequency response.
put in complex conjugate poles at (.6364 +/- j*.6364), look at magnitude spectrum, where are peaks and/or valleys (how high/deep are they?)
complex conjugate zeros at (.7071 +/-j*.7071), look at magnitude spectrum
Put zeros at (.7071 +/-j*.7071), poles at (.6364 +/- j*.6364), how does the spectrum change?
