When the HP 33120A Function Generator is first powered on, the load setting is at 50 ohms. For most of the uses in EE 423 the desired setting will be high impedance. To change the load from 50 ohms to high impedance follow the following instructions:

| Turn the dial until you see "D: SYS MENU" |
| Push the button. |
| You should see "1: OUT TERM" |
| Push the button. |
| You should then see "50 OHM" |
| Turn the dial until you see "HIGH Z" |

The function generator now has a load setting of high impedance.
