ELP hosts policymakers
U.S. Senator Charles Grassley, Iowa Senator Herman Quirmbach, and Ames Mayor Ann Campbell were among a group of eight panelists featured at a Sunday night seminar for the Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). The goal, according to Greg McGrath, ME senior who helped organize the event, was to encourage ELP students to think about ways they can impact the world by getting involved in public policy. With questions from the students, the panelists discussed everything from what led to their own involvement in government to what they see as the important issues of the future.
