Who does what?

As a member of the honors program you need to be aware of some general functioning of the program and the roles of several people, offices, and committees.

University Honors program: They manage the Freshman Honors Program and provide many programs and services for all honors students at ISU. Their web page contains useful information.

College of Engineering Honors Program Committee: We are responsible for your academic program. We set the procedures for the College of Engineering honors program, approve your membership application and Program of Study as well as future changes to your Program of Study, and monitor student performance to meet GPA requirements.

Engineering Undergraduate Programs Office: This office in 110 Marston provides the administrative support for the college of engineering honors program. They provide final college approval that the full membership program of study and subsequent changes meet minimum requirements and are coordinated through the degree audit with other requirements of the major.

Honors Advisor: Your honors advisor is an excellent resource and can help you find resources that you need to develop your honors program of study. They can help you identify people to talk to in your area of interest, and they will help you develop your full membership application and other forms. They need to sign off on all forms.

Academic Advisor: In some departments this may be the same person as your honors advisor. Questions about the honors program and your program of study should be directed to your honors advisor.
