Program RequirementsWhat coursework would you need to complete for a minor in Engineering Studies? The 21 cr. minor consists of three 3 credit required ES courses: ES 260 “Introduction to Engineering Estimation, Computation, and Problem Analysis”, ES 265 “Survey of the Impacts of Engineering Activity”, and ES 270 “Survey of How Things Work”—all designed for non-engineers. You would then select 12 additional elective credits from the approved list of courses—6 cr. of which must be from either other new E S courses or 200-level courses offered by engineering departments. To meet the university minor requirement you’d need to select 6 cr. at the 300-level from the list of currently approved electives. No matter what your major or what your career goals are, a minor in Engineering Studies will broaden your perspective and enhance your marketability.
