The recent rainy weather has once again made the construction site a bit muddy.
(June 3)

Work continues, though, and here you can see the steel rails in place for the overhead crane in the high bay area.

The unusual brickwork on the auditorium is evident here. Each course is stepped back 1/8" on the exterior to provide a dramatic slope to the wall..

Concrete work proceeds on the wing wall near the auditorium.

Inside the auditorium, workers install piping for the roof drain.

Concrete workers prepare the basement floor on the North side before pouring begins.

Something interesting is always happening at the construction site. Here they haul in a 70-ton crane on a trailer.

The crane was brought in to assist in placing the large roof beams that span the high bay area and required a team of workers to unload it.

Due to the size of the crane, streets had to be closed off and police cars escorted the trailer through town.

Here the crane is assembled and ready for the beams to arrive.
