E-court 2008

What is E-Court?

In the most simplistic terms, it is recognition. It is recognition of the College’s finest students- the students that make our beloved Iowa State University and Ames community a better place for us all and the students that are our future leaders of industry and academia.

One of the many aspects of E-Week is the celebration of who and what we are as engineers. Inarguably, our best and brightest need recognition where recognition is due to hold true to this aspect of E-Week, but also to demonstrate our potential as engineers to the university as a whole.

The structure of E-Court 2008 will look very familiar from the many different high schools that feed into our university and our college. E-Court itself will be composed of two distinct groups, those vying for E-Week King and those vying for E-Week Queen. The king and queen will be selected by voting held during E-Week from those chosen to represent their college on E-Court 2008.

How do I become an E-Court Member?

E-Court members are selected by a simple nomination process and application. We will be asking everyone at Iowa State, from students to faculty and staff, to nominate any student, including themselves, that is seen as deserving of this award. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 pm on Monday, September 15.  Voting will then take place throughout all the events of E-Week 2008.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the many voting boxes as well as our deserving candidates throughout the week. The E-Week 2008 King and Queen will be presented at the E-Week Charity Ball.
