What are they?
  • Seminars to help you prepare for the career fair and your future job search
Why attend?
  • Are taught by company representatives and will cover a wide array of topics
  • A chance to network with employers and learn what they like to see in students
  • Get a step ahead of your classmates on being prepared to land an internship, co-op or full-time job
  • Choose which 3 seminars would be most beneficial for you to attend
  • Free for students!
  • Free lunch!

  • Learn from an engineering employer what they like to see on your resume and how to present it effectively
  • Get tips on how to conduct yourself appropriately during an interview – what to do, and what not to do

How to Use the Career Fair Effectively
  • Ask a panel of engineering employers how they think students can make the most of the career fair
  • Find out how to approach a company during the career fair – what to say, how to stand out

Globalization for Engineers
  • See how companies are changing to succeed in the global economy and learn how their engineers will need to change as well
  • Be prepared to work on a diverse team – customers or suppliers that may span continents

Evaluating Job Offers and Negotiating Benefits
  • Understand the “do’s and don’ts” of accepting an offer and learn how to negotiate with companies
  • Learn what types of benefits companies are typically willing to offer you and how that may affect you in the future

Financial Planning for the Future
  • Whether you just started college or are about to finish, learn how to plan for your financial future
  • Hear from industry professionals, what type of preparation can save you or make you a lot of money in the future
