Incoming ELP Class of 2007 Scholar Biographies
Luke is a Sophomore in Ag. Engineering. In his free time, Luke enjoys designing and building farm equipment, traveling, working with youth, biking, hiking, reading, and motorsports. His goal with an engineering degree is to help create a more technologically advanced farming operation.
Catherine is a sophomore in Construction Engineering. Outside of class she is very involved in the Hip Hop club and Alpha Chi sorority in addition to many other things. She currently plans to pursue a graduate degree after receiving her BS degree.
Justin is a sophomore majoring in Engineering. In his free time, Justin enjoys running, reading, and watching sporting events. After receiving his BS degree, Justin plans to continue to graduate school for an MBA.
Dana is a sophomore majoring in Industrial Engineering. In her free time, Dana enjoys photography, dancing, singing, swimming, and playing soccer. At ISU, she intends to join the Lyrica Women's Choir and a dance team.
Emily Kuster is a sophomore in Materials Engineering. She is interesting in ceramics and its applications to cardiology. Emily is an active member in the Glass Optics and Materials research group, TEAM, the Catt Center, Materials Advantage, Catt Associates and gaffer's guild. Currently, she plans to work in industry after completing her BS degree.
Eric is a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering. In his free time, he enjoys rifle and pistol marksmanship, fishing, hunting, and putting together model ships. After graduation, Eric plans to work in industry for a little while before pursuing a graduate degree.
Nathan is a sophomore majoring in Civil Engineering. In his free time, Nathan enjoys watching sports, boating, jet skiing, skiing, and being with friends. After receiving his BS degree, Nathan plans to attend graduate school.
Ashley is a sophomore in Computer Engineering. In her free time, she enjoys lacrosse, wakeboarding, snowboarding, playing cello and guitar, and working with computers.
Anna Potter is a sophomore in Civil Engineering with an Environmental Emphasis. This past summer, Anna traveled to Mali, Africa to work on stove and lighting design. This semester, she is involved with many activities on campus. She is a Women in Science and Engineering Peer Mentor, an EPLI Ambassador, and helping with Engineers Without Borders by sharing her experience in Mali. In her free time, Anna likes to run, play Ultimate Frisbee, listen to music, play cards, or discuss politics. After receiving her BS degree, Anna is considering joining the Peace Corps, going to Law School, or entering industry.
Jake is a sophomore majoring in Chemical Engineering. He is interested in researching biomedical applications of engineering, and plans to attend medical school after receiving his engineering degree. In his free time, Jake enjoys tennis, golf, road biking, ping pong, and boating.
Brian is a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He is from Janesville, Wisconsin.
Heather is a sophomore majoring in Agricultural Engineering. In her free time, she enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, camping, and hanging out with friends. Heather is interested in designing agriculture buildings and environmental control systems for efficient animal production, crop storage, and/or equipment storage with farm offices.
Wil is a sophomore majoring in Electrical Engineering.
In his free time, Wil enjoys video games, reading,
cycling, and spending time with friends. Wil is
interested in robotics and is considering performing
research in that area.
