9. Cooperative Education Criteria

Not Applicable. The cooperative education program is considered to be an integral part of the Materials Engineering academic program and supports the achievement of the outcomes labeled 1-r in the program. Note in Table B3.2 that it is shown that cooperative education is an important program element and in Table B3.3 that industrial experience can contribute to achieving all desired outcomes. We are putting in place a comprehensive process by which assessment will be greatly improved for students in co-ops, internships and summer professional experiences.
