 Today,
more than ever before, it is critical that engineers
recognize a wide variety of connections. With the advent
of the Internet and areas like biotechnology,
nanotechnology, and smart materials, we are witnessing a
revolution in every facet of our lives. This demands that
the college develop a new paradigm for engineering
education and research to better prepare our students to
meet the challenges that lie ahead.
