Work starts on Hoover Our physical presence on campus continues to change as construction on Hoover Hall, Phase II of the Engineering Teaching and Research Complex, gets underway. Workers were able to start ahead of schedule, thanks to Iowas mild winter. Completion is scheduled for fall 2003. Tower contest is part of annual E-Week celebration A team of students from Waterloo West High School won top honors in the annual spaghetti and gumdrop tower building contest hosted in February by the College of Engineering as part of its National Engineers Week activities. New solar car named PrISUm Spectrum will be the name of Iowa States seventh solar car. Spectrum was one of more than 80 names submitted in a naming contest by Team PrISUm, the Iowa State student group that designs, builds, and races solar cars. |
