Glenn O. Schwab, BSAgE'47, PhDAgE'51, Powell, Ohio, received the
Textbook McGuffey Award from the Text and Academic Authors Association for
Soil and Water Management Systems (4th edition, John Wiley & Sons, written
with Delmar Fangmeier and William Elliot). He first published the book while
at Iowa State in 1950.

Noel I. Smith, BSAgE'52, LaGrange, Illinois, is semi-retired from
his position as patent attorney with Leydig, Voit & Mayer, Ltd., in
Chicago.
Alan Zeiner, BSME'56, Oak Brook, Illinois, is a professional engineer
with Meyer Tool and Manufacturing, Inc., in Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Mark Alleman, BSME'66, Aurora, Illinois, is currently with Caterpilar
Agricultural Products, Inc., as a manufacturing manager.
Ted Zeimann, BSIE'69, Paris, France, has recently been promoted
to senior executive vice president at Rhone-Poulenc Plant and Animal Health.
He oversees the firm's world wide industrial operations.

David D. Beckman, BSIE'73, Burlington, Iowa, a partner with Beckman
and Hirsch law firm, is currently the president-elect of the Iowa Bar Association
and the law school representative on the University of Iowa Alumni Association
Board. His daughter Mindi will attend ISU in the fall of 1999.
Charles R. Graber, BSCE'77, Naperville, Illinois, is a professional
engineer with Graber Concrete Pipe in Bloomingdale, Illinois.
David L. Potthoff, BSME'77, Western Springs, Illinois, currently
works as a project manager for Indeck Power Equipment Company in Wheeling,
Illinois.

Komli-Kofi Atsina, PhDBME'83, Accra-North, Ghana, has successfully
completed medical school and become a doctor, the only ISU-trained Ghanaian
engineer to do so.
Tom Benson, BSME'85, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been transferred
to Exxon's Baton Rouge refinery and promoted to head of the Technical Services
Department.
Kris Berglund, PhDChE'81, Okemos, Michigan, professor of chemistry,
chemical engineering, and biosystems engineering and director of the Crop
and Food Bioprocessing Center, won the Distinguished Faculty Award at Michigan
State University. The highest honor MSU bestows on senior faculty, the award
is one of 10 given annually.
Kevin Bollinger, BSCE'86, Lockport, Illinois, is an engineer with
Bollinger, Lach, and Associates in Oak Brook, Illinois, and was recently
married.
Traci D. Egly, BSIE'82, Elmhurst, Illinois, has been admitted
as an associate partner in Andersen Consulting in Chicago. She joined the
firm in 1987 and works as manager in the technology group, specializing
in the communications industry. She and husband Steve have two sons.
Scott Jasper, BSME'88, Ames, Iowa, has been promoted to director
of the HVAC department at Taylor Industries, a design/build mechanical contractor
in Des Moines.
Randy Penny, BSME'82, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, works as a senior
production engineer in Argentina.
Paul W. Peterson, BSAgE'81, Overland Park, Kansas, is engineer
systems manager at Butler Manufacturing.
Diane Rover, MSECpE'86, PhDECpE'89, Okemos, Michigan, associate
professor of electrical engineering at Michigan State University, won one
of the six teacher-scholar awards given to younger faculty there. The award
recognizes commitment to and quality of teaching in addition to scholarship.
Warren Schroeder, BSCpE'87, Germantown, Wisconsin, recently received
his MS in computer engineering from National Technological University and
will be relocating to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to take a senior software project
engineer position with Rockwell Automation.
John M. Sebghati, BSAeroE'89, Huntsville, Alabama, has taken a
position with Qualis Corporation and is working on base heating tests for
NASA's X-33. He is also finishing his MS in ME at the University of Alabama,
Huntsville.
Patty Weitekamper, BSIE'89, Chicago, Illinois, is a QS-9000 coordinator
for Parkview Metal Products, Inc.
Dixie (Garham) Youngers, BSIE'86, Kansas City, Missouri, is a
manufacturing engineer for Hallmark Cards. She and her husband Loren, a
programmer/analyst with Worldspan, recently had a baby girl (Julie Nicole).

Jay Chapman, BSAeroE'90, MSAeroE'93, Urbandale, Iowa, is MIS supervisor
for Principal Residential Mortgage, Inc., in Des Moines.
Don Clark, BSCE'96, Joliet, Illinois, is a territory manager for
EFCO, a company dealing with systems for concrete construction, out of Park
Ridge, Illinois.
Gerri A. Domrose, BSIE'92, Westmont, Illinois, is currently an
industrial engineer with Elkay Manufacturing Company in Broadview, Illinois.
Jorge A. Garcia-Zuazaga, MSBME'95, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, is
a third-year medical student at Penn State University. He has served as
president of Penn State's student chapter of AMA and is currently vice president
of the medical student council.

as a project manager with FLC Instruments.
