Special Events

Several events take place throughout the academic year that you might like to either come for or talk about with your student next time you’re on the phone. Family Weekend and Homecoming are fall activities centered around home football games, while Engineers Week (complete with the semiformal Engineers Ball in the fall) occurs once each semester, as do the career fairs. VEISHEA is a university-wide spring activity, one of the largest student-run celebrations in the world.
