Best part of being an Iowa State student: Going to sporting and other events and seeing the pride we have as Cyclones!

Involvement: I am on the Executive Board of The Engineering Ambassador and Mentor program. We give the College of Engineering tours, meet with alumni and benefactors of Iowa State and also help out at Engineering events.

Dream Job: To work in an industrial environment where I can work on hands-on projects such as process controls, business and chemical management, and environmental safety.

Honors Program: I participated in the Freshman Honors Program -- It was awesome! As a sophomore, I was an Honors Seminar Leader. My co-leader and I coordinated social and educational activities for 10 first-year students.

Work Experience: I took a semester off to co-op at a paper mill making containerboard. During the experience I was able to learn about different chemical and mechanical processes, environmental management and safety.

Advice to New Students: Don’t get too stressed about the little things. Work hard but you also need to take the time to enjoy college. You’ll be on your own soon enough.
