Industrial Engineering Hometown:
Colorado Springs,
CO
Best part of being an Iowa
State student: Walking through central campus in
the fall and making leaf piles to jump in. I love
ISU in the fall!
Work Experience:
I spent two summers as an intern for United Parcel
Service (UPS). I worked on time studies for their
package car drivers to help design delivery routes
and performed work measurement on various areas of
the hub.
Greek Community: I
am a member of
Kappa Delta
Sorority. Being in the
Greek Community
has been an excellent way to get
involved on campus, gain leadership experience,
participate in philanthropies, and build lifelong
friendships.
Favorite Class: I have
really enjoyed the manufacturing labs I’ve had in my
IE classes. I learned to use a lathe, weld, metal
cast, using a plastic injection molder, program a
CNC machine, and so many other manufacturing
techniques.
Dream Job: To
design work places that are efficient and functional
for its employees. I love studying ergonomics and
work measurement and I hope to combine these
interests into a career that will help make jobs
easier.
Advice to New Students: Get
involved in everything you can. It’s important to
leave with a great education, but the best learning
experiences are outside the classroom, the
possibilities are endless!
