Samantha
Computer Engineering

Best part of being an Iowa State student: The opportunities! Attend our career fairs, join a few clubs, and go to plays and concerts.

Internship I worked for a computer company that makes devices to help track distribution for companies like FedEx and UPS.

Dream Job: Working with Bluetooth and embedded systems. Bluetooth is a type of wireless network connection that allows for smooth communications between devices like PDA's, laptops, and cell phones.

Interviewing: I interviewed with Microsoft in Seattle. It was a great 3-day trip! The interview was 1 day, and I spent the rest of my time checking out the city, looking for housing, etc.

Fun Fact: I am the reigning collegiate smooth silver regional champion in ballroom dance. Smooth is waltz, tango, and fox trot. This picture was taken before a competition. The Ballroom Dance Company meets twice/week.

Advice to New Students: Don’t bring your car to campus. CyRide will take you where you need to go for free!
