GradSWE - Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities
GradSWE caters to members working towards graduate degrees in
engineering, by hosting events focused toward these members. Events
provide networking and professional development for members looking
for a career in industry or academia. We also provide events that
encourage members to socialize, connect, and find the support needed
to succeed in their advanced degree. All events will be held during
the workday or shortly thereafter. See below, for more information

Seminar Luncheon
Price: $100
Dates: TBA
Topic 1: Technical Interview
2: Elements of Research Poster Presentation
Location: On Campus
Sponsorship of a seminar provides a great way for members to develop
professionally and network with company representatives. Companies
are able to give a 40-minute
presentation on the topic during this luncheon. If a representative
is not available, we will arrange a speaker from a campus resource
to speak on the topic. Company sponsorship will cover the cost of
food for attendees.
Graduate School Panel
Price: $100
Date: Late October
Location: On Campus
GradSWE works as resource for undergraduate students interested in
graduate school. A graduate panel allows graduate student to talk
about their experience in graduate school for the benefit of
undergraduates interested in pursuing graduate school. Undergraduate
students are able to ask questions and carry the conversation in
directions are relative to their interests about graduate school.
Company representatives are encouraged to give a 20 minute
presentation about the applicability of graduate degrees within
their company. Company sponsorship will cover the cost of lunch for
all attendees.
Graduate Friday After Class
Price: $100
Date: Early September
Location: Business in Ames, IA
A Graduate Friday After Class, or GFAC, is an event for graduate
members to network and socialize. Hosted at a local business, we
will be organizing the event to learn something new and have some
fun. Classes will vary each semester, examples include pottery, wine
tasting, cooking, fitness, bowling, laser tag, etc. Company
sponsorship will subsidize the cost of the event for all attendees.
