Standards and Benchmarks

Goal: To increase problem-solving skills

Problem:

You are part of an engineering consulting company that designs amusement park rides.  Adventureland has just hired your company to create, build and test a new addition.

Your challenge is to build a tightrope walker.  There will be rope going from one side of the classroom to the other.  The rope will have five randomly placed black pieces of tape on it.  When your ride has reached its final destination (the fifth piece of tape), there needs to be a signal that indicates to the riders that the ride is over.
