Outreach Information
In groups of two per computer,
log on with "robot" as the username and enter the password
provided by the lab assistant.
Open
the word document on the desktop named Mindstorms
Rover and follow the directions to assemble the lego car.
Double
click on Not Quite C, select Automatic when it asks where to find the RCX
and click ok, being sure that the car is turned on and facing the infrared
tower.
Open
each of the four basic programs. Look at the
code for a few minutes and see if you can guess what the program will make
the car do. Compile and download the program to the car and hit Run
(the green button) on the car to see if you were correct.
Complete
the modifications listed on the Cheat Sheet
given by the lab assistant and have them checked before you go on to the next program.
Once
you have completed all the tasks on the cheat sheet, check with the lab
assistant to see if there are extra tasks for you.
The lab
instructor will announce when time is almost up and instructions for taking
the car apart.
